We are always looking for ways to give back and support our local community. Continuing the theme of "Reduce, Recycle, Reuse" from the previous two months, our team decided to spread the warmth of the holiday season by collecting gently used hats, scarves, gloves, and winter coats for Charm City Warmth Drive.
Charm City Warmth Drive collects and distributes to five local shelters in the Baltimore metro area that help homeless youth, single women with children and veterans. According to Charm City Warmth Drive, “Health experts report that even a 2-degree drop in body temperature results in reduced heart rate, loss of coordination, and confusion. Adults cannot work effectively and children find it difficult to learn. For most, a warm coat solves the problem.”
Benelogic employees are passionate about solving problems. People in our local community need items to keep them warm and don’t have the means to purchase them. We all have items in our closets we no longer use or want. Gifting these items to someone who needs them, expresses our corporate culture and gives our team an immense amount of pride.
As the holiday season progresses it’s important to remember that some of the best gifts are ones that fill a need, not a desire. And gifting items in a green way, can warm others.
