Putting the Pep Back in Employees' Holiday Steps
Updated: Jan 5
Some say the end of the year holiday season is the most wonderful time of the year. It’s also the busiest. This is particularly true for people working in the benefits industry. Trying to strike a balance between a heavy workload and an endless holiday task list makes it next to impossible to enjoy the spirit of the holiday season.
Recognizing how difficult it can be to get everything done some days, we invited November Iglehart, stylist and company representative for Stella & Dot to set up shop in our office. This allowed our employees to take a moment from their busy day, peruse and receive personalized gift suggestions and knock some last minute holiday shopping needs off their list.
Despite ordering the gifts so close to the holidays, the presents are promised to be delivered in time for the holiday celebration. Staff who attended this event spoke so favorably we are considering expanding the marketplace with additional vendors this Valentine’s Day.
Sometimes it’s the little things in life that make the biggest difference. Corporate perks like this save employees time, reduce their holiday anxiety and make it easier for them to maintain focus on their year-end business activities. This win-win situation also comes without a hefty price tag for employers. It’s a great way to help put the pep back in employees' holiday steps.
Maintaining a healthy work-life balance has always been a cornerstone of our culture. We recognize time is precious, especially during the holiday season. By providing a rewarding work atmosphere, it illustrates that we value our employees, their time and their commitment to our company. And this in turn helps increase morale, camaraderie and employee loyalty.
